Actress Vidya Balan chose an elegant, simple look for the Cannes festival in 2013…She looks slim in this outfit and although we don’t mind the outfit, maybe something a little more different with the blouse could have added the wow factor……Is this overall look a YES or NO from you?
Ameesha Patel strut the ramp at Ambey Valley Bridal Week for Rocky S, and we have brought you a lot of his designs, because – well he/his brand is SUPERB! Simplicity will always work, so over-doing isn’t really the key to looking great on your wedding day. A design like this is easy to walk around in, won’t weigh you down and the net dupatta adds a lightness which is great for a long wedding. You do not want to look exhausted at the end of your rituals! Petit women and those who worry about 10kg oufits, this is for you!

Indian TV actors also have red carpet events & these actors were part of the Star Parivaar Awards. A bride-groom outfit that we liked! The velvet electric blue sherwani is uniquely combined with yellow, while the bride has a net blue dupatta to complement. Both look great together!

We love both outfits, worn elegantly by TV actresses at the Petal Awards. Both the saree and lehenga is ideal for a sangeet or reception but we don’t know about the long sleeves? That seems to be the current trend, we would have liked to see sheer gold sleeves on the block-pink blouse. The colours are bright and will certainly stand out in a crowd!

Ritu Kumar brings out her signature designs at fashion shows all over the world and this however is an outfit from a few years back; but the ‘outdating’ of bridal couture is unlikely (and we don’t follow the ‘in colours’ for shows). We haven’t brought you much green, so let us break down this outfit for you. The work is traditional especially with the familiar pattern work from the 80’s and 90’s. Zari/bota work is elegant and the blouse would now be considered conservative with a nice touch of designs. We love the sheer dupatta with thick borders and the colour is ‘calming.’ Great for an outdoor wedding or daytime wedding. Enjoy!
