Nothing much needs to be said about Traun Tahiliani’s designs! Nice to see red with maroon as well as a mish mash of gold & silver in the lehenga….A dull-bright effect…..lovely outfit and we assume the mis-match styling of dupatta and jewellery were purposely for the show?! Of course, we agree that 2 dupatta’s are better if you are draping one over your head…
Madhuri Dixit-Nene carries off this Tarun Tahiliani ensemble immaculately at one of her shows…. Hats off to combining western influences (like the necklace with outfit) with a modern lehenga choli….Don’t know if the ‘straw’ effect at the bottom of the skirt is a good thing…Maybe there is just too much fabric – overlay everywhere? Let us know what you think!
Sonam Kapoor opted for Tarun Tahiliani’s Kumbhback Collection, a red (possibly more orange in reality) saree with a sassy blouse…..This one is a winner for petite ladies with minimal patterns/borders so the attention is on that pretty face! We like the hairdo too, something for brides to consider!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted in a bold black Sabyasachi saree which has a nice impact factor, and a golden Tarun Tahiliani saree which could work….taking a few minor considerations/alterations. Both looks have a very ‘mother of the bride’ facade, but if the golden saree had a differently styled/cut blouse or the hairdo was loosened then this look would be very different. The black sabyasachi saree and even hair piece has a good balance of bling and nude….She looks WONDERFUL nonetheless!

We LOVE this regal bronze-maroon bridal couture…..Ideal for brides wishing to use 2 dupatta’s – one for the head and one to complete the look of the outfit. It’s also perfect that Tarun Tahiliani has utilised net fabric with delicate work on the pallu over the head, which allows the bride to carry herself graciously, without looking burdened! As we mentioned before, bronzes are in season for 2012…Wonder if Kareena Kapoor will opt for a seasonal colour??
